College Football Schedule 2023

2023 is shaping up to be an incredible season in college football, featuring compelling rivalry games and groundbreaking new developments aplenty. And all this excitement begins right from Week Zero when multiple compelling matchups start taking place!

The 2022-2023 College Football Playoffs Were Amazing

Network coverage and kickoff times will be announced later. Virginia opens their season by hosting James Madison before also welcoming NC State, William & Mary and Virginia Tech for their respective Smithfield Commonwealth Clashes.
Week 1

The 2023 season will open with some high-stakes matches: Vanderbilt will launch their first SEC football season at home against Hawaii; Florida travels back to Utah after having last visited in 1983.

TCU’s Cinderella season came to a disappointing close last season, yet many of their key players returned for another tryout against Deion Sanders and Colorado under new coach Scott Barlow, whose track record as an educator speaks for itself. A road test against Deion Sanders could prove particularly challenging as Colorado boasts an impressive coaching resume in Scott Barlow’s reign as well.

Coastal Carolina will make its college football debut against UCLA, making this matchup highly anticipated due to Chip Kelly’s early success with the Bruins.
Week 2

The college football season officially kicked off on Labor Day with an epic clash between LSU and Florida State, followed by another titanic matchup the next week between Texas and Alabama. CBS, ESPN, NBC and Peacock ($4.99/month subscription required) all have games scheduled this weekend while Vanderbilt takes on Hawaii on Saturday; more games and TV channels may be added throughout the year depending on contracts signed or renewed between networks and conferences; please click through each link to access more details for each matchup. Week 3

The 2023 college football season will start Saturday, August 26 with Vanderbilt hosting Hawaii in its inaugural SEC home game at Vanderbilt Stadium in Nashville. Subsequent weeks feature all 13 SEC teams as they begin play before culminating with its annual Championship Game on December 2 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Below is the schedule of each SEC team with home games indicated in upper case unless otherwise indicated; times listed are Eastern. All air on SEC Network or ESPN app unless noted.
Week 4

The 2023 college football schedule kicks off September 2, with Ohio State-Indiana on CBS and Penn State-West Virginia on NBC kicking off the Big Ten’s new media rights agreement between CBS, NBC and ESPN starting this season. Meanwhile Vanderbilt-Hawaii opens up SEC play on September 9 for Vanderbilt while on November 4 CBS is hosting a doubleheader between Big Ten/SEC teams – this article will be updated as more TV channels and game times become known – All times Eastern
Week 5

The 2023 college football season will kickoff on Saturday, August 26 with Vanderbilt hosting Hawaii on CBS Sports Network for their home opener against Hawaii. Ohio State-Indiana on CBS (3:30 PM ET), Penn State-West Virginia on NBC in primetime (7:45 PM) and ESPN broadcasting two SEC doubleheaders that day are all set to get underway! Week 6

The 2023 college football season will kick off on Saturday, August 26 with Vanderbilt hosting Hawaii in the opening game. Southeastern Conference play then commences and regular season concludes on Dec. 2. CBS, ESPN and NBC all have big college football games scheduled that weekend; these include Ohio State-Indiana on CBS (3:30 PM ET) and Penn State-West Virginia in primetime (7:45 PM ET) from CBS; these times Eastern. Week 7

Vanderbilt will begin its 2023 college football season against Hawaii on August 26. SEC games start up Sept 1-2 on CBS, NBC, and ESPN before ESPN takes over conference TV rights in 2024 – note that ESPN will feature Texas-Alabama as part of prime time programming Sept 9. Week 8

The 2023 college football season kicks off this Saturday with Vanderbilt hosting Hawaii for their home opener against Vanderbilt before Georgia hosts Florida and Tennessee travels to Auburn the following weekend in SEC action. Meanwhile, Big Ten debuts its new network partners September 2, with Ohio State-Indiana on CBS primetime and Penn State-West Virginia primetime broadcast on NBC; streaming options such as Fox Sports Go or ESPN Peacock service provide access to some exclusive Big Ten matches; all game times are ET.
Week 9
